In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications in Costa Rica showed varied performance on the unified platform. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced consistent weekly downloads, maintaining figures between 8K and 9.3K throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated, reaching a peak of approximately 1M in mid-September.

Google Maps Go saw downloads ranging from 3.1K to 5K weekly. The app's active users remained robust, starting at 1.4M and peaking at over 1.6M in late July.

Google Earth maintained steady download numbers, hovering around 1.6K to 2.2K per week. Its active users showed minor fluctuations, averaging around 15K to 17K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a notable increase in downloads mid-quarter, reaching up to 2.4K. Active users also grew, peaking at 3.6K in late August.

MapXplorer: Navigation, Radar demonstrated an upward trend in revenue, climbing to $404 by the end of September. Downloads spiked in early September with 2.7K, while active users peaked at 9.6K.
